After initially announcing he would be out for an extended period of time, Arkansas has announced that their returning leading rusher Jonathan Williams will miss the entire 2015 regular season.
It was also noted that Williams could possibly return for the postseason.
Here are the details from CBSSports.com:
Arkansas coach Bret Bielema announced that Jonathan Williams, the Hogs’ leading rusher from 2014, will miss the entire 2015 regular season. Williams will have a screw placed in his foot, Bielema said per Thomas Murphy of theArkansas Democrat-Gazette, also noting that the player had insurance taken out for injury.
This is a big blow for the Razorbacks in 2015, but they still have a pretty solid running back in Alex Collins. It won’t be the two headed monster that they had last year, but they should still be able to move the ball on the ground.
