Florida State has been without running back Mario Pender for a few days after he was hospitalized due to a collapsed lung. Pender suffered the injury during Tuesday’s practice as he ran into an offensive lineman. He was then taking to hospital after having trouble breathing and has since been released after doctors were about to restore the lung to “near full capacity.”
Mario was off to a decent start this year. He has 140 yards and a touchdown with 3o carries during his junior campaign. The injury will sideline Pender for the rest of this week and he will later be re-evaluated and could return to action as soon as October 3.
