This week in your office pool, there’s going to be ‘that guy’ who fills out a thousand different brackets and feel proud about it.
I have four words for you, “DON’T BE THAT GUY”.
Now, you’re probably thinking why not because mathematically, the more brackets you do, the better chance you have of winning. While that is right in theory, there’s multiple reasons why you shouldn’t be that guy.
Lack of Integrity:
Even if you win your office pool, would you really feel proud of it considering you did a thousand different brackets?
Maybe it’s just me, but I’ll feel way more accomplished knowing I won off of my single bracket.
Avoids Confusing:
The problem with multiple brackets is that there’s always a conflict of interest. If you only do one bracket, you don’t have to worry about which team to root for.
Also, when both of your brackets fall apart, you’ll be kicking yourself for being so indecisive when you could’ve just put all of your confidence in one bracket.
You don’t want to be like Chuck:
If you watched the two-hour selection show, you noticed that Charles Barkley doesn’t know much about what’s going in college basketball. Now, maybe you honestly don’t but you still should avoid the perception that you don’t know what you’re talking about.
To make matters worse, if you actually do know the game, why are you filling out multiple brackets?
But……
Who cares about being lame when your odds of winning the money pool are in your favor?
So, don’t mind me, go ahead and waste the papers at your local library by filling out a million different brackets.
