On what would have been Biggie’s 44th birthday, Puff Daddy will gather some of the most legendary artists, while reuniting the legendary Bad Boy artists, on one stage to celebrate in front of the late rapper’s home audience. From the press release:
Puff Daddy & The Family will make their return to the stage for the “One Night Only” Bad Boy Family Reunion at Barclays Center on Friday, May 20th. Puff Daddy, Faith Evans, Lil’ Kim, Mase, French Montana, Total, 112, and Mario Winans.
New York natives Mary J Blige and Jay Z will also grace the Brooklyn stage, joining the superstar lineup as special guests for this one night only celebration.
Tickets go on sale April 1st, so don’t sleep and miss your chance if you’re in the area. It sounds like a fantastic show. Faith Evans has been teasing a Biggie hologram and said there would be one perfect place to debut it, quote thanks to Billboard:
“If this Bad Boy [reunion] tour ever really happens, that might be something we might consider and if I was to go on that tour, of course, I’d use it but just not over-use it.”
My my, would the rap game be different if there was still the Notorious B.I.G. around. At least, we live in an age where holograms don’t seem absolutely alien.
