The Washington Post is reporting that Donald Trump has made inflammatory remarks. Stop if you’ve heard this before. In a meeting in the Oval Office with lawmakers, about protecting immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries Trump said:
“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?”
According to officials at the meeting, Trump suggested the United States should bring in more people from countries like Norway.
This is another day and another vile, racist statement from a supposed world leader. By the way he doesn’t distinguish between Africa, a continent and Haiti and El Salvador, countries. This is what he does from his bully pulpit and it galvanizes his base. The collective people in this country who believe it is their right to have safety and success at the expense of all others that don’t look like them.
Twitter of course had thoughts about the Trump comments. See some below and flip the pages for more.
I know a beautiful woman from Mozambique, Africa (which according to DT is a shithole country) she is a success story and I’m guessing you wouldn’t allow her in this country if you had it ur way. Very sad and troubling. Btw Africa isn’t a country, it’s called a Continent. @CNN

Calling an entire country a shithole is out of line for a POTUS, but the point is that people from Haiti, El Salvador and parts of Africa want to come to the U.S. to build a better life. That’s the exact definition of the American Dream.

Mom: “I’ll bet Trump couldn’t name five countries in Africa.”
Me: “He thinks Africa IS a country.”
Mom: “No, he thinks it’s a shithole.”
