Jordan Brand has been releasing variations of popular Air Jordan 1 colorways, such as the release of the “Bred Toe” 1s back in February that is a take on the “Bred” and “Black Toe” 1s. Now comes the iteration of the famous “Fragment” collab with the release of the “Game Royal” Air Jordan 1.
The sneakers are very similar to the “Fragment” 1s, which go for over $1,000 on the resale market. The only difference is that the “Game Royal” 1s have a blue lining on the toebox instead of black, along with it not having the Fragment stamp on the heel.
The sneaker is also very similar to the “Chicago” 1s. It’s the exact same color-blocking, but with the Chicago Bulls red replaced with the royal color, as Nike mentions:
The latest Air Jordan I runs parallel to memory lane. It has a high-top cut, Nike Air branding and colors that splice genes from early Jordan DNA: the 1985 “Chicago” blocking with a new Royal twist. Constructed with rich, full-grain leather, it’s a crowd pleaser and a no-brainer that serves up OG love in an all-new way.
The “Game Royal” 1s will release on Saturday, March 24 for $160. They will release online at select Jordan Brand retailers at 10 a.m. EST, while many European retailers will launch them at 4 a.m. EST.
