With the official NBA season still months away, Celtics rookie Robert Williams is still trying to figure out how to arrive on time to obligations and how to stop losing his wallet.
The Score.com reports that Williams is not only struggling with staying on top of his newfound commitment but keeping track of his own wallet.
Since the Celtics selected him in the first round of June’s draft, the Texas A&M product missed his introductory conference call with reporters after he overslept, was absent from the team’s first summer league practice after missing a flight, and misplaced his wallet – twice.
The latest wallet misplacement incident took place when Williams’ wallet somehow landed into the hands A&M player D.J according to MassLive.com.
According to Tom Westerholm of MassLive, the first instance happened when Williams left his wallet at his hotel while attending a Celtics Shamrock Foundation event. Celtics staffers were able to recover the wallet, but a day later, Williams realized it was missing again. This time, it was in the possession of Texas A&M forward D.J. Hogg.
Hogg ultimately brought Williams his ID to Vegas and Williams says he will now have to glue his phone to his wallet to keep up with it.
