Embattled superstar R. Kelly might have more trouble coming his way in the near future. According to the blast.com, the victim of the now infamous sex tape that led to the 2008 trial for child pornography is cooperating with the FBI. There has been a new found interest to this unfortunate case since the release of the documentary “Surviving R. Kelly.” This series detailed years of sexual abuse and rape by the R&B singer.
The victim in the video was never identified during the trial or the documentary, causing rumors to swirl that her or her family had been paid by the singer to not pursue the case against him. According to the documentary, members of the family were given opportunities to appear or perform in R. Kelly Projects. According to new reports the family received and excess of $2,000,000. Since the documentary, R. Kelly who currently is under custody, is facing 13 charges all related to child pornography.
Kelly is broke now, so there is no incentive for the family to stay quiet now.
On Tuesday, at his arraignment, R. Kelly was denied bond and will have to remain in jail until trial. He will face an uphill battle the charges in which he is accused of recording himself with at least four underage girls, and later attempting to purchase the tapes for several hundreds of thousands of dollars. It will be a long process, but at last R. Kelly will face the consequences of his actions and bring closure to the victims.
