A former University of Arkansas – Fort Smith basketball player, is accusing head coach Jim Boone of being racist and not recruiting other players with dreadlocks.
A meeting that included Tyler Williams (the basketball player), his parents and Coach Boone were all in attendance to clear the air. Which ended with Williams being dismissed from the team. As it turns out, Tyler was upset at the fact that Coach Boone brought in player that were more talented than he. Realizing this, Tyler transferred to a school in Oklahoma.
A lawyer from Mars Law Firm named Tom said that Tyler wanted to be granted a waiver from the NCAA. So that he would be immediately able to play and not have to sit out a year.
Students at UAFS have stated that they will boycott the games. If Tyler Williams is indeed telling the truth, he has started a movement at UAFS. It will be hard for the school to continue to employ Coach Boone.
