In a time where only essential businesses are open around the country, Amazon falls in that category, but some of the workers are fed up with dealing with what they deem non-essential items.
An unidentified worker at a Michigan Amazon warehouse walked out in protest of the conditions at the warehouse. One of his biggest gripes was the company still shipping out dildos, which he believed were not essential items.
Kim Russell of WXYZ in Detroit interviewed the man.
Just interviewed a worker who walked out to protest conditions at the Amazon warehouse in Romulus. He says he got a text this morning saying three coworkers are sick. He says Amazon says it is essential, but it is out of many essential items. He says he is risking his health to ship a massive amount of dildos. He is calling on the company to cut hours or staff to allow for social distancing and only sell essentials.”
This is tumultuous,, and what may not be essential to one person might be essential to someone else.
