When Justin Fields announced his plan to transfer to Ohio State, Tate Martell was waiting for him with competition, and a couple words of advice.
Martell gave off his words of advice in a tweet, causing a stir among college football fans, and ultimately bringing a lot of eyes to Ohio State’s upcoming QB competition. But as we all know, Martell didn’t win the starting job in Columbus, and ended up transferring down south to Miami.
Fields on the other hand, won the starting job, and led the Buckeyes to the College Football Playoff semifinal in his first year as a starter. Although Fields’ trip to the CFP ended in defeat, there’s still a lot to like with him going forward.
While Fields is free, and enjoying his off-season, he took a little time to clap back at Tate Martell’s “words of advice” with his own tweet.
