Yesterday, Oklahoma State RB Chuba Hubbard publicly criticized head coach Mike Gundy for wearing an OAN shirt in a tweet where he said he was done doing things with OSU until some changes were made.
The tweet he sent out caused a ripple effect of players, past and present, tweeted out how they had been mistreated by Gundy and how he made racist statements to them. Shortly after, Gundy and Hubbard uploaded a video saying they had talked about their issues and real change is coming to the program.
There was nothing else said about the meeting they had or the changes that would be made. However, Doug Gottlieb is a former OSU athlete so he might have some insight into what was said. At least that’s what he portrayed when he tweeted out the changes that happened.
Gottlieb tweeted out 5 changes which included players being able to play music with profanity, being able to wear a du-rag, and them being able to sag their pants. Reading these new changes, it makes it clear which type of players the rules were, but they don’t sound like changes that athletes would call their coach out on Twitter for.
It doesn’t sound like that because those aren’t the changes the players and Gundy agreed on. How do we know? OSU star WR Tylan Wallace, team captain Amen Ogbongbemiga, and DE Brock Martin all said that what Gottlieb said was a lie. Gottlieb knew exactly what he was doing when he tweeted out the new changes and didn’t care at all.
He tried to portray the black athletes in an extremely negative light. Saying they did this only so they could listen to the music with profanity and wanting to wear du-rags and sag is pathetic on his part. No fact-checking or anything because he wanted to get his narrative off.
Gottlieb is no longer trying to hide his bias anymore which is very racist. He’s a scammer so what more can you expect from him?
