Against the Utah Jazz, Klay Thompson Makes History

Klay Thompson

Guard Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors dominated the Jazz. Klay Thompson, the guard for the Golden State Warriors, had a fantastic night in his first game off the bench since 2012. In this game, Thompson surpassed 15,000 career points, making history as the sixth player in Warriors history to do so.

In the fourth quarter of this game, the Warriors came dangerously close to blowing another sizable lead, but they managed to hold off Utah’s late charge and go into the All-Star break victorious. This was an important game for the standings as well as momentum. This was a crucial clash because Utah came into the game trailing Golden State in the standings.

The Warriors needed this victory even though it was not a pleasant one. Leading by example, Thompson scored 35 points for the Warriors, and in the second half, he should have a chance to truly establish himself in this new position.

Klay Thompson in action for the Warriors

The Warriors are aware that if they are to succeed this season, Thompson must provide a high caliber of play, whether as a starter or as a substitute. Even in instances where he has started, Thompson hasn’t always been in the closing lineup; in this particular game, he came off the bench.

Thompson had a huge impact in his debut game off the bench and assisted the Warriors in winning handily.
