Jordan Love and the Packers Reach a $220 Million Contract Extension That Includes a Record Bonus

Jordan Love of the Packers

Quarterback Jordan Love has been rewarded with a new contract after leading the Green Bay Packers to the playoffs in the previous campaign, the organization announced on Saturday.

Love reportedly agreed to a $220 million, four-year contract on Friday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. According to Spotrac, he had one year left on his contract, which would have earned him $12.7 million for the 2024 campaign.

A signing bonus of $75 million and complete guarantees of $155 million are part of the agreement.

Jordan Love’s time with packers

On April 14, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler said that Love was anticipated to accept a contract with the Packers that would place him in the top ten highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL.

Aaron Rodgers coached Love for his first three seasons of professional football. Love was selected by the Packers in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Following his trade to the New York Jets, Rodgers, 25, assumed the starting position for Green Bay in 2023 and quickly established himself as the team’s quarterback of the future.

With 32 touchdown passes at the end of the season—second only to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott’s 36—Love overcame a rocky start to the season. With 4,159 yards and a completion percentage of 64.2%, he came in seventh place with 11 interceptions.
