Shedeur Sanders Said Jay Norvell “Gotta Be A Fool”; Deion Sanders Gives The Players Sunglasses

ESPN’s “First Take” went on the road to Colorado, ahead of this weekend’s highly anticipated matchup between Colorado and Colorado State. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders and WR/CB Travis Hunter joined Shannon Sharpe, Steven A. Smith, and Molly on the show to talk about the comments made by coach Jay Norvell of Colorado State at Shedeur’s father, Deion Sanders.

Let’s just say, the message was heard loud and clear, and they are not letting it slide.

“You gotta be a fool to do that,” Shedeur said in response to Sharpe. “You got his son playing quarterback, and his other son playing safety. So it’s like, come on now, you’re asking for it.”

Sanders adds that it just provides extra motivation for them to go out and win the game. Sanders also said that the moment Norvell made those overly personal shots, all respect was gone.

The message Coach Prime gave to his team during practice this week was that Colorado State done made this upcoming game personal. Since Norvell reportedly finds talking with glasses on disrespectful, Coach Prime went out of his way to buy a pair of shades for all of his players on Friday.

The team as a whole is playing with not only a chip on their shoulder, always looking to prove everyone wrong and themselves right, but also playing with a profound amount of swag. This is team chemistry personified, and it’s been a treat to watch. At some point, people are going to learn to respect what happens when you make things personal with Coach Prime and his Colorado Buffaloes.

The #18 Colorado Buffaloes host the CO State Rams Saturday night, with the Buffs opening as -23.5 point favorites and the over/under being 61 points. If we’re going off recent track record of success, along with how motivated this team is to get a dominant win, the Buffs could very well cover the spread and then some.

A must watch game, for sure.
