Fashion is an art and Kemba Walker’s outfit caught flack Tuesday night before the play-in game against the Washington Wizards.
“The piece was emblazoned with the Gadsden Flag, which depicts a coiled timber rattlesnake above the phrase, “Don’t Tread on Me.” Though the banner initially served as a warning to the British, it’s meaning has shifted over the past couple of centuries, as it has become a favorite among white supremacists and far-right groups. The flag was seen at the deadly 2017 Unite the Right Rally in Charlottesville, as well as the Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol,” per Complex.
Walker like anyone else probably doesn’t care because the Celtics secured the No. 7 seed to face the Brooklyn Nets in the first round.
Symbolism posts are making their way in the building to check Walker for his outfit.
