NFL Has Fined Cowboys WR Ceedee Lamb Five Times in Six Games

Ceedee Lamb is still on that rookie contract, so these fines are adding up and cutting into his salary.

They are all for random stuff that the NFL should really just be giving warnings for.

They are insane with the uniform fine violations.

Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has been fined by the NFL five different times over Dallas’ first six games this season for a total of $46,865, league sources told ESPN, including $10,300 for his wave on the walk-off winning touchdown earlier this month against the Patriots.

Lamb twice has been fined for having his jersey untucked — $5,150 the first time against the Eagles on Sept. 27, then $15,450 for the same violation against the Panthers on Oct. 3. The next time Lamb is penalized for having his jersey untucked, it will be a $46,350 fine.

Lamb also was fined $5,150 for his socks failing to cover his lower leg during Dallas’ regular-season opener against the Buccaneers, and $10,815 for an illegal crackback block against the Panthers.

It is almost 4% of his salary, but once you factor in taxes, it is nearly 10%.

Imagine losing $15k for just having your jersey untuck.

I know people joke about the NFL being like the Army, but they are taking it too far.

  • Socks too low Sept. 9 $5,150
  • Untucked jersey Sept. 27 $5,150
  • Untucked jersey Oct. 3 $15,450
  • Crackback block Oct. 3 $10,815
  • Taunting (wave) Oct. 17 $10,300

Even the taunting fine seems excessive.

The game was over. That is like fining someone for when they have left for work for the day.

Once the game goes final, the players are off the clock, and if he wants to wave goodbye to a player, that is nothing wrong with that, just like if the DB decided to try to beat him up, I would have allowed it.

They are taking this NO FUN LEAGUE way too seriously, if you ask me.

Flip the pages for Lamb waving goodbye after the game-winning TD catch.
