How Ex-NFL Safety Darren Sharper Tried To Get 18-Year Prison Sentence For Raping and Drugging Women In Four States Thrown Out (Video)

In 2016, former Super Bowl champion Safety Darren Sharper was sentenced to 18 years in prison after he drugged and sexually assaulted multiple women in four states. Sharper recently attempted to get this case thrown out as he claimed that he wasn’t advised properly by his attorneys.

U.S. District Judge Jane Triche Milazzo denied the motion which was signed on 7/9 and revealed on 7/31, according to the Associated Press. Information was also disclosed of Sharper saying twice in open court that he understood the terms of the plea agreement.

“This Court believes that Sharper’s claim that he did not know the terms of his plea agreement and that his attorneys had not counseled him regarding the agreement is merely an attempt to avoid the harsh consequences of his actions,” Milazzo stated.

Judge Milazzo was right in upholding Sharper’s prison sentence. What he did to these women was disgusting. This is all after a great NFL career where he played in the league from 1997-2010. He was known for his time with the Packers and winning a Super Bowl with the Saints in 2009. Sharper was a 5x Pro Bowler and 2x All-Pro as well.
