Undefeated Super feather weight Champion and knockout artist , Gervonta “Tank” Davis has officially turned up the heat by calling out current unified lightweight champion, Vasyl Lomachenko.
First reported by TMZ Davis stated,
“Of course I’m interested in the Lomachenko fight. Just as a boxing fan ya know top guys fighting each other. Definitely looking forward for that. Maybe the beginning of 2020. I think I have enough skills. I’m maturing as a fighter, as a person. I think it’s time. “
Tank’s direct message to Vasyl,
“Just keep winning and someday we will get in there. We will get in there for sure.”
The boxing world has demanded this fight for a long time. Both fighters are the best in their divisions and it’s not even close. Lomachenko is regarded from many as the best pound for pound fighter around.
Tank Davis who is 22-0 with 21 knockouts, is undoubtedly a protégé under the Mayweather camp. Many sources around the boxing world felt Tank was dodging the top talent around the division, but the fact is Tank is whiping out the division faster than street sweeper at midnight.
There was an on and off online buzz about a potential match between young sensation Ryan Garcia and Tank, but let’s be honest Ryan Garcia hasn’t even wet the bed yet; and even his own promoter Oscar De La Hoya went on record saying Ryan didn’t want that smoke.
Tevin Farmer is another name that has been rumored, for a potential fight for Davis.
The fight would create some palpable buzz, but let’s get straight to the point, Lomachenko vs Davis is PPV (pay per view) material.
Tanks last fight versus Ricardo Nunez, ended in just the 2nd round and Davis last 13 fights have ended in either a TKO, or KO so obviously homie doesn’t play that.
Flip the page to see Gervonta Davis call out Vasyl Lomachenko, and Oscar admitting weeks ago young sensation, Ryan Garcia doesn’t want any problems with Tank after the online feud.
