Following an awkward encounter with Sky Sports reporter Martin Brundle during the F1 Grand Prix in Monaco, where a brief pre-race interview effort went awry, Kim Kardashian is generating discussion on social media.
In an attempt to have a brief conversation with the sister spectators in Monte Carlo, Brundle, who is well-known for his “grid walk” interviews with drivers and celebrities prior to Formula 1 races, approached Kim and Khloé Kardashian on Sunday.
In a video that has gone viral, Brundle greets Kim and inquires about her well-being, but she seems to turn away without responding. Then, while Brundle keeps attempting to catch her attention, a member of her entourage leans in to talk to her.
Brundle then inquires about her enjoyment of the race weekend, pointing out that visitors on the grid typically pause for quick interviews. Kim waves briefly before moving on with Khloé and their group, but she still doesn’t answer.
Brundle, clearly upset, informs viewers on-air that it appears they won’t be speaking this time around as the opportunity flies by.
The video soon went viral on social media, where opinions were divided. While some people called the exchange “rude,” others backed Kim by pointing out that the grid is a busy, high-security location where visitors aren’t required to stop for interviews.
Kim and Khloé have not publicly discussed the situation. We’ve contacted representatives, but we haven’t heard back yet.
As the two enjoyed the sights and sounds of the Monte Carlo street circuit, which features opulent yachts, roaring engines, and celebrity sightings, Khloé joined in on the race day glitz, matching her sister’s cream-colored outfit.

During the live broadcast, Lewis Hamilton appeared to blow Kim a kiss from the podium. Kim and Lewis have been actively pursuing their connection on social media and have been seen together at a number of occasions in recent months.
The romance between Kim and Lewis has undoubtedly been intensifying, but it’s now truly off to the races.
