The adult film actress recently shared a message about being the change people want to see. According to Danger, if someone wants something to change, they should become that change themselves.
Sounds inspirational, right? Well, the internet had questions.
And, as usual, social media did not exactly bring flowers.
Danger’s message was about taking action instead of simply complaining. The idea itself is pretty straightforward. If you want something to improve, do something about it.
But once she connected that message to inspiring young people, some people immediately raised an eyebrow.
Danger works in the adult entertainment industry. So when she talks about being an inspiration to the youth, some social media users naturally wondered exactly what lesson they were supposed to take from it.

And that is where things got awkward. There is a difference between saying something motivational and saying you inspire the youth. The first one is a general statement, the second one opens the door to a completely different conversation.
Of course, being an adult entertainer does not automatically mean a person cannot have positive qualities, work hard, overcome obstacles, or encourage people to pursue their goals.
People are complicated, but social media is rarely interested in complicated.
It likes simple arguments, and Danger gave everyone exactly the kind of statement that can produce thousands of comments before anyone even finishes reading it.
The backlash also shows how quickly public figures can get dragged when their message clashes with the image people associate with them.
Danger may have intended her words as a broader message about personal responsibility, but the internet heard something else.
