Here we go again. Just when social media thought it could enjoy five peaceful minutes, another relationship scandal has entered the chat.
JoJo Lacey, girlfriend of NBA star Dylan Harper, is facing fresh cheating allegations after a woman accused her of texting her boyfriend. And, naturally, the internet has already grabbed its popcorn.
According to the woman, JoJo has allegedly been sending messages to her man. The woman has now taken the situation to social media, putting the alleged behavior on blast.
Of course, nobody online is going to simply say, “Let’s wait for more information.” Absolutely not. This is the internet. We need screenshots, screen recordings, timestamps, FBI-level investigations and somebody’s auntie giving a 47-minute Instagram Live.
The latest allegations are especially interesting because they come after previous rumors involving JoJo and Dylan.
The couple previously faced cheating speculation, which they denied. Then an alleged screen recording surfaced that appeared to show JoJo DM’ing another man. Suddenly, the situation went from “nothing to see here” to “everybody grab a chair.”
Things became even messier when JoJo accused another man of allegedly leaking the supposed messages. Those accusations, however, appeared to fall apart as the drama continued.
Dylan and members of his family also publicly stood by JoJo during that controversy. So, at the time, it seemed like the couple had decided to ride out the storm together.
Now the storm appears to have returned for another episode.
The big question is whether this is simply another round of social-media accusations or whether there is actually something behind the latest claims. At this point, the allegations remain just that—allegations.
And honestly, relationships involving professional athletes seem to come with their own subscription service. Every few weeks, there is a new episode, a new screenshot and somebody claiming they have “receipts.”
As for Dylan and JoJo, only they know what is really happening behind closed doors.
But social media has already picked sides.
And that famous saying suddenly feels appropriate: couples that cheat together stay together? Maybe. Maybe not.
Either way, the internet is already waiting for Episode Two.
