Soccer may be the world’s #1 sport, but often times, we forget how dangerous the sport can be. The latest comes in a report from Huffington Post that the goalkeeper Sylvain Azougoui of AC Bongoville has died when his head was accidentally stepped on.
Moments before the accident, Azougoui had blocked a shot on goal, but his opponent lost his balance due to wet grass and ended up stepping on Azougoui’s head. The match happened to be during a championship tournament in Libreville, Gabon, and Azougoui ended up passing away on his way to the hospital.
