Cardinals Rookie WR Christian Kirk threw his name on the ballot for best mugshot of the year after today.
According to NFL.com, the Texas A & M stand-out and some of his friends were leaving the Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale and decided that they wanted to completely wreck some strangers’ cars for no reason.
In a brief statement on the incident, Scottsdale Police reported:
The suspects were intoxicated and leaving the WMPO…As they were walking through a parking lot, security personnel observed them throwing rocks at cars and breaking a window of at least one of them.
However, the Police Incident report sound a little suspect:
From Christian Kirk incident report: The person police cited as their source was lying on a bench & not watching while the van window was broken. The person said he saw Kirk and a friend throwing rocks at other cars, seeing them walk away. No damage was reported on other cars.

Cardinals say that they were aware of the arrest, prior to drafting Kirk in the Second Round with their 47th pick.
Kirk is from Scottsdale; however, he vows that his hometown buddies will not distract him from the football field:
All my friends that I have with me, that are close to me, know my mission and what I’m trying to do…They let me be. They’re there for encouragement. They’re there for me when I need them. They’re good. They’re never bugging me. They let me go to work and do my business and when it’s time for me to go and hang out with them, they’re always open-armed.
Well if you’re throwing rocks at cars, we can’t really tell, Christian. But it’s equally as hard to imagine a sober witness source, lying on a bench, at the Waste Management Open, and providing a credible statement to Cops.
