A conjoined twin who became famous after participating on a reality show has been secretly married for three years, according to reports.
Abby Hensel, 34, of Minnesota, married nurse and army veteran Josh Bowling in 2021, according to public records acquired by TODAY. Twins Abby and Brittany Hensel are possibly America’s most well-known conjoined twins, having starred in their own TLC reality show.
The girls, born in 1990, have two heads, two hearts, and two sets of lungs, but otherwise are identical. Each twin controls half of her body, resulting in incredible synchronization. They are both drivers and have university degrees in education.

The TikTok account @abbyandbrittanyhensel recently released a video commemorating Abby’s special day, while the Facebook page Britt And Abby posted a photo of the couple.
The twins wore lace-trimmed sleeveless wedding dresses to the 2021 ceremony, while the groom wore a grey suit. The duo, who are now fifth-grade teachers, were raised in Minnesota by a nurse and a carpenter. The girls are dicephalic parapagus, which means they are fused together with two heads.
They have two spines fused at the pelvis, two hearts, two esophagi, two stomachs, three kidneys, two gall bladders, four lungs (two of which are linked), a liver, one ribcage, a shared circulatory system, and a partially shared neurological system.
All organs below the waist, including the reproductive organs, are shared.
They were born in 1990 with a partially formed third arm, which was removed when they were 12 and underwent surgery to address spine curvature and improve respiration. After gaining global recognition in 1996 with appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show and Life Magazine’s cover, they lived peacefully in Minnesota, avoiding the media until they starred in a TLC documentary at 16.
