Breaking News: Donovan McNabb Traded To Washington Redskins
by Robert Littal | Posted on Sunday, April 4th, 2010
This is according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Eagles will receive a second-round pick (37th overall) in this month’s NFL draft and either a third- or fourth-round pick next year.
Jason Campbell and his mustache are not pleased.

I feel sorry for Donovan. Is this a sign and trade? Surely Donovan isn't going to stay with Redskins long. I smell a big trade coming so Redskins can draft a young qb.
He will sign an extension with the Redskins. He is going to be there for awhile

ok…*deep breath…i'm an eagles fan, so this one is..personal. i get it that the NFL is a business first and foremost, and a teams obligation/purpose/goal is to spend as little to get the most. they drafted kolb and signed vick and created a 3 headed monster at the qb position. plus the team is getting..um..stale so things needed to be shaked up..
(oops..shook up)
i get that its not about the past, you are only as good as your last season and at some point it's time to move on…but..
what kind of sense is it to trade him to not only an NFC team but an NFC EAST team?? like wth are they thinking?? philly is known for getting rid of veteran players when they believe the expiry date is approaching..but this just stinks of a shoot from the hip decision that will come back to haunt them. there are some philly fan who have been looking forward to this day for about..FOREVER. they might rue the day, and definitely should be careful what they wished for. sure this could be a brady/rodgers waiting in the wings and exceeding expectations kind of thing.. or it could not. all i know is that if they don't at least make the playoffs.. then all hell will REALLY break loose. and the next person that should be looked at doesn't wear a jersey…
1st lady, I agree with your last statement. But with a twist, I think that particular person should have been looked at a long time ago. If you're thinking of Reid that is. He is the main reason that the Eagles offense (and team as a whole) became stale. He can't adjust in games, and he insists on controlling every play. I find it very strange that now that they have finally built an offense with legitimate receiving threats, they get rid of the biggest reason why they won a lot, and also their biggest scape goat. Since you're an eagles fan, I assume you've heard some of the "fans" who blamed every single loss on McNabb, even when it was obvious that the defense didn't show up for most of the biggest games of the last 11 seasons.
