I don’t celebrate Black History Month.

I think it is a condensing. Black History is apart of American History and therefore should be study and discussed year around.  Furthermore it isn’t a coincidence the people who came up with this pick the shortest month of the year.

With that being said if you are a professional sports franchise, specifically one that has an owner who many consider to be racist, if you are going to celebrate Black History Month at least do it within the month.

I understand that the Clippers only had two home games in February, but they had the schedule for a very long time, just put your celebration on one of those dates. I don’t think it is a huge deal and it is a nice gesture, just looks incompetent.

The again this is the Clippers so nothing surprises me.

Your comments on Black History Month make a lot of sense. However, I think you should think of BHM as a "teachable moment" for kids, rather than some sort of "celebration."

BHM gives parents, teachers, and adults an opportunity to talk about black folks' contributions to American society. One of the reasons many black kids think they can only be a rapper or a ball player is because they aren't exposed to the marvelous things blacks have done for this nation.

Now as for the Clippers? Epic fail.
