Tashard Choice will not get a chance to ask Mike Vick for his autograph after Sunday’s Eagles-Cowboys matchup. He won’t be there as the Dallas Cowboys cut the injured former Georgia Tech star early Saturday morning.
Choice will be given an injury settlement if he clears waivers and is not claimed by another team.
Tashard was given the start in place of the injured Felix Jones last Sunday against St. Louis, but it was the rookie running back DeMarco Murray that stole the show with his franchise record 256 yard performance. Choice was experiencing fumbling problems in his limited action this season and was battling both a shoulder and hamstring injury.
The Cowboys made the move to clear a roster spot for rookie linebacker Bruce Carter. Carter is expected to make his debut this Sunday against the Eagles just in time to chase Vick and Shady McCoy around.
