The word “swag” should have been buried a long time ago, but I considered this the official jump the shark moment. Boyd who injured his hip in a win against Boston College was asked why he wasn’t wearing any hip pads during the game.
This was his answer.
Here was my reactions to that.
Who cares if his injury could have cost Clemson a shot at a BCS Bowl or forced him to miss some games, it is more important to keep up his “swag”, than protecting himself and doing what is best for the team.
