This looks bad on the surface that no teams attended T.O.’s workout, but in reality probably not that big of a deal. At least now all 32 teams will have some film on him and if they are interested they can bring him for a look.
I watched the work out and he seems ready to go.
The thing about T.O. is regardless of what you think about his personality, he has always been in outstanding shape and is a hard worker, so if he says he is healthy no reason not to believe that.
“I definitely feel there are some teams out there that are interested,” he told ESPN.
He wore a T-shirt with the words “I am” on the front and “ready” on the back at the beginning of the workout. He took the shirt off when he ran routes and caught passes from Casey Hansen, who played quarterback at Norfolk State and has played in the Arena Football League.
“I felt very comfortable out there,” Owens told ESPN after the workout.
Owens said he wasn’t deterred by the fact that no scouts were in attendance and said his workout “speaks for itself.”
“I only need one team,” Owens told the NFL Network. “I only need one chance.”
The Bears, Raiders and Titans are contending teams that could all use a player like T.O.
I think it is 50/50 that he gets a shot from someone, he will just have to be patient and wait it out.
