Brady Quinn Getting Half of The 1st Team Snaps With Broncos
I can not stress how big of a mistake this is.
It has nothing to do with if Brady Quinn is a better quarterback than Tim Tebow, but the only way you will be able to move on completely from Tebow is if you allow him to fall on his sword.
If you jerk him around now people will always say he didn’t get a fair shake.
Personally I think Tebow needs a full season to prove his worth one way or another, then you can make an inform decision. He has up and downs like any young quarterback but unless you are planning to release or trade him this will only make things worse for Broncos by being wishy washy.
Earlier this week, Rodney Harrison questioned my sanity and/or sobriety when I suggested, both in our weekly One-on-One segment and on NBC SportsTalk, that the Broncos should get quarterback Brady Quinn ready to play, in the event that starter Tim Tebow continues to play like he has played in the last three games he has played.
Apparently, Rodney also needs to question the sanity and/or sobriety of Broncos coach John Fox and/or Broncos V.P. of football operations John Elway. Per a league source, Quinn has been getting roughly half the first-team reps in practice this week.
If the Broncos and the media would have kept a level head with Tebow and not anointed him this wouldn’t be as big of a deal.
But you can’t call him a savior and devil depending on your mood.
You gave him the job, he helped save your season, let him go out Bibles blazing.
