Knicks Closing In Sign and Trade Deal For Steve Nash, Will Have to Give Up Iman Shumpert

I think this would make the Knicks a more interesting team.

Would it make them a championship caliber team? You make the call.

Nash and the Knicks are in the critical stages of discussions on a three-year deal worth between $27 million-$30 million to be executed through a sign-and-trade deal with the Suns. The Knicks would send rookie guard Iman Shumpert and multiple players – including Toney Douglas – to Phoenix for Nash, sources said.

Knicks also still plan to resign Jeremy Lin.

They wouldn’t be a very good defensive team, but any team Nash is on would benefit greatly from the offensive end. While Amar’e and Chandler would love his arrival, curious how Carmelo Anthony would react.

NYC basketball is becoming more interesting by the minute.
