Update: David DeCastro Expected To Miss 3-5 Months
As I reported earlier today, Pittsburgh Steelers rookie guard David DeCastro suffered a serious knee injury against the Buffalo Bills Saturday night.
Well the early reports on the injury are in and it doesn’t look good.
Pro Football Talk is reporting that DeCastro is expected to miss 3-5 months.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, DeCastro is expected to miss three-to-five months with various injuries in his right knee. Though the official diagnosis will come via a Monday MRI, we’re told that DeCastro currently is believed to have a torn MCL, a dislocated kneecap, and a partially torn patellar tendon.
This a huge blow for the Steelers who do not have the most stable offensive line in the league.
The good news for the young rookie is the fact that he did not tear his ACL.Powered by Sidelines
