Tennessee Titans running back is having a rough go of it this season.
Johnson has 73 carries for 210 yards on the season. Nots not leave out the fact that Johnson got 141 of those yards in a blowout loss to the Texans.
A few weeks he caught some flack for saying that Titans players need to do their jobs, even though at that time he was averaging less than a yard per carry.
Titans Insider is reporting that Johnson has voiced his opinion again, and I’m not sure how well it will be taken.
When asked if his team was close to turning the corner to respectability and wins, Johnson spoke his mind.
“I don’t believe we’re close right now. You look at the games and how we’re playing, we don’t look like a good team. I wouldn’t sit here and say we’re close,” Johnson said.
We need somebody in this locker room to make plays and give us a spark,” Johnson said. “I feel like I’ve made some plays, but the situation of a spark has got to come from somewhere and getting a spark that can be big for this team.”
Chris Johnson is not wrong in his statements, he just doesn’t need to be the one making them right now.
Johnson hasn’t run with the same hunger since cashing out, and many wonder if he’s lost that hunger, or these type of comments are an angle to get traded.
