Regarding Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, David Beckham has been asked if he can manage the Taylor Swift-esque level of stardom he is inadvertently achieving.
With two Super Bowl rings under his belt when Kelce started dating Swift last year, he was already a household name in the NFL, but since gaining a third, his notoriety has skyrocketed—ironically, so does the name of his podcast.
The music star’s connection with Kelce has enthralled Swift’s devoted fan base, the “Swifties,” and tabloids follow them both virtually everywhere they go.
Because former Real Madrid player and soccer superstar Beckham knows a thing or two about dealing with the press, Jimmy Kimmel questioned Kelce on whether he could handle his newfound super celebrity.
Kimmel enquired on his program:
“Do you ever talk to, like, Travis Kelce and say, ‘Hey, man, here’s what you have to expect’?”
Beckham replied that Kelce can handle it and so can Taylor,
“We know Taylor can definitely handle it.”
Beckham’s issues when he became a celeb
In his most recent Netflix documentary, Beckham talked candidly about the difficulties he had early in his career adjusting to stardom, especially after moving to the US. On the Jimmy Kimmel program, he was asked about it and responded, “I think that surprised a lot of people.” At that time, things were challenging.”
He continued, saying:
“Recently, we were in a pub in London, and I came out and on the windscreen on my car was a note, no name on it, just, ‘We’re so sorry for the way we treated you’. I liked that.”
