I guess if you’re a big man in the 6’10 to 7 foot range, there will always be work available in the NBA.
Days after being cut by the San Antonio Spurs, CBSSports.com is reporting that the Dallas Mavericks have signed center Eddie Curry.
e are excited to bring Eddy Curry to Dallas,” president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson said in a press release. “He has worked extremely hard this offseason and can provide our front line with much-needed depth.”
The Mavericks have until Monday to trade or buyout guard Delonte West, who the suspended again yesterday for conduct detrimental to the team.
Curry averaged 8.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in 15.4 minutes per game in five preseason appearance for the Spurs.
Reports are that Curry will have the opportunity to start opening night for the Mavs, with Chris Kaman still out nursing a calf strain.
Let me get this straight, Eddy Curry is going to start for the Dallas Mavericks.
Nevermind.
