Manny Pacquiao Suspended 120 Days, Will Undergo Extensive Brain Testing
By now we’ve seen countless footage and hundreds of meme’s all showing different angles of Juan Manuel Marquez’s devastating knockout of Manny Pacquiao.
Pacquiao was out before he hit the canvas, and was down for about two or three minutes.
Larry Brown Sports is reporting that Pacquiao was rocked so bad that Bob Arum is forcing Pacquiao to undergo extensive brain testing before he can resume fighting.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission reportedly suspended Pacquiao for 120 days so that he can heal, and they told him to avoid any contact and physical activity for the first 90 days.
Pacquiao was interested in a April return to the ring, but Freddie Roach says the earliest the boxer could fight again is September.
Bob Arum spoke his decision to have Pacquiao tested.
“I have to take him to the Cleveland Clinic in Las Vegas, the brain center, which is a brain specialist,” said Arum. “We’re going to do an extensive brain examination before we commit him to a fight.”
Pacquiao has plans to travel to Israel next week. Arum hopes they will be able to return to Las Vegas for the testing at some point during the new year.Powered by Sidelines
