I wonder if Lakers fans are wishing if they couldn’t get Phil Jackson if they should have stuck with Mike Brown. Pau Gasol is such a bad fit for what D’Antoni is trying to do and the Lakers will have a hard time trading him because of his salary.
For what it is what Pau who had another awful game last night, but he says he hasn’t given up and doesn’t want to be traded.
“No, no, no, no,” he said when asked if was considering asking for a trade. “That’s a bit radical. I still believe. I still have faith in what we have here, and still have faith that I can be a big part in helping this team succeed right now. I’m not really being able to do that very often.”
And as Gasol is well aware, every loss will come with added pressure to make a move.
“It’s pointless (to think about it),” said Gasol, who spent so much of last season reportedly on the trading block. “There’s always a chance (he’ll get traded), and I think the more a team will struggle the more there’s going to be a chance of that happening. But whether it happens or not is kind of a little bit out of my hands. Last year was very intense as far as that. This year, I’ve been vaccinated.”
Pau goes give a good quote.
