Before there was a Colin Kaepernick, RG3, and Russell Wilson running spread, innovative offenses, there was Pat White at West Virginia.
White who was a former 2nd round pick of the Dolphins and essentially a bust soon after that. White left the NFL in 2009 to pursue a career in baseball with the Royals before trying his hand at acting.
Yahoo Sport is now reporting that White is set to make a comeback and is working with renown quarterback guru George Whitfield.
Whitfield is responsible for working with the likes of Ben Roethlisberger, Cam Newton, and Johnny Manziel to name a few.
White will make his return and share the stage with Geno Smith at West Virginia’s Pro Day.
He’ll get a look because he’s working with Whitfield, but he’ll need the right system and coach to succeed. White is coming back at the right time, seeing as though the spread and pistol is all the roar.
