I refuse to call Snoop Dogg, Snoop Lion, so let’s get that out of the way first.
Snoop is supportive of gay marriage, but thinks for rappers and football players, it would be tougher to come out because it is such a masculine environment.
Here is what he had to say.
Snoop said we shouldn’t hold our breath, explaining “Frank Ocean ain’t no rapper. He’s a singer. It’s acceptable in the singing world, but in the rap world I don’t know if it will ever be acceptable because rap is so masculine.”
He continues, “It’s like a football team. You can’t be in a locker room full of motherf—-g tough-ass dudes, then all of a sudden say, ‘Hey, man, I like you.’ You know, that’s going to be tough.”
Probably a little off in the assumption that a gay NFL player would automatically hit on his teammates, but I get what he is trying to say.
We should find out soon enough, since several NFL players are considering coming out of the closet.
