Amir Khan wants in on the Floyd Mayweather Jr. sweepstakes.
Khan like every other fight looking to cash out, is hoping he can get in line to be one of Mayweather’s opponents before his six fight deal with Showtime expires.
Khan is scheduled to take on Devon Alexander in December, almost two months after Mayweather/Alvarez would have taken place.
According to ESPN, if Khan and Mayweather are both successful, Khan would like his shot at Money Mayweather, and he would like it to come in Brooklyn.
Khan totally believes his speed and explosiveness would help him make history.
And how could Khan beat the 44-0 Mayweather? “Two things, speed and explosiveness, would help me beat Floyd,” Amir said. “My speed takes away his defense, and I can put on pressure, not many fighters have that. In Barclays Center, against Floyd Mayweather, I think it would be brilliant.”
Khan can choose to be patient at this point, seeing as though a bout with Mayweather wouldn’t happen for close to a year at minimum.
