Smart business move by Dwight Howard assuming he plays well for the Rockets.
Instead locking himself into the entire four years of his deal, he can opt-out after Year 3 according to Yahoo Sports and signed another five year max deal either with the Rockets or another team.
He also has a trade kicker in his contract that if the Rockets try to get rid of him, he will be paid 15 percent of the remaining money left on his deal.
