The Boston Bruins have finally got their man.
According to a report courtesy NHL.com via TSN, free-agent forward Jerome Iginla has signed a deal with the team he spurned just this past season.
Jarome Iginla has agreed to a one-year, $6 million contract with the Boston Bruins, TSN reports.
The veteran right wing, who turned 36 Monday, declined a trade from the Calgary Flames to the Bruins in April, instead accepting a deal to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Iginla appeared in 44 games in 2012-13 between the Flames and Penguins, scoring 14 goals and adding 19 assists. He went 4-8-12 in 15 games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, where the Penguins were swept by the Bruins in the Eastern Conference Final.
The Bruins seem to be reloading their roster to make another run to the Stanley Cup Finals after losing in devastating fashion to the Chicago Blackhawks in six games.
