Royce White may be planning to open up a mental health center in Houston, and if he’s not careful, he may be the center’s first client.
TMZ is reporting that oft troubled White is some hot water over a domestic violence situation that further illustrates the disconnect he has with the cause he’s trying to support.
White’s ex girlfriend and Maxim model Tania Mehra filed a police report on August 30 to report an incident that took place at Royce’s Houston-area home back in June.
According to law enforcement officials, someone called 911 on June 22, 2013 to report a laceration above Tania’s right eye.
Police say at the time, Tania claimed she suffered the injury from an “accidental fall.”
Ms. Mehra later changed her story, and filed a report, claiming she lied about the incident. She then told police that Royce was the reason she received the laceration over her eye.
Police say that Mehra claims she lied because the person of interest was an NBA player, and she felt it would be bad for his career.
Law enforcement officials also told TMZ that “the victim stated that White had assaulted her after she became angered by his advances toward her friend.”
Tania also claims Royce also grabbed a candle holder and threw at her during the altercation … but it missed, instead smashing into a mirror and causing it to shatter.
White, who is famous for his OCD and anxiety disorder, has refused comment at this time. Regardless, it’s just another incident for the mercurial player that as usual, doesn’t involve basketball.
