Colin Kaepernick statistically isn’t playing as well as he did last season, but don’t tell that to Jim Harbaugh. NBC Sports reports that Harbaugh seemed confused when questioned by a reporter about Kaepernick’s struggles in his second season as the 49ers starting QB.

“I think he’s doing a heck of a job. I guess I’d be puzzled to why people would think that. What’s most important is what we see. I’m puzzled to why you or anybody else thinks that.”

“He’s been consistently good. He’s been like that every week he’s been backup or a starter.”

It’s good for Kaepernick that his coach has his back, but the reality is that the 49ers are in danger of missing the playoffs. That’s a drastic step back from being in the Super Bowl last season. The team clearly needs better offensive production, and it starts with Kaepernick.

Good read, I agree with coach on this one. Kap has no one to throw the ball too…most of the offense has been hampered by injury all year..Kap is working with what he has..one tight end and a old slot receiver…

Injuries sure as heck don’t help also these dumb expectations by the same critics. They were the ones who crowned Kap future GOAT/Montana level, the minute he isn’t they pounced like true bandwagons do.
