Antonio Cromartie Wants To Retire a Jet, But Might Need Hip Surgery
The Jets can dump Cromartie in this offseason before he is scheduled to receive a huge bonus. The Jets have a lot of issues, but I don’t think Cromartie is one of them.
He hasn’t had a great year, but believe it or not, he is one of the more stable players on the team. Cromartie would like to stay with the team, but he knows it is a business and that might not be possible. Especially if he needs hip surgery.
Here are his quotes courtesy of Newsday.
“I’ll find out once I get an MRI after the season,” Cromartie told me Thursday afternoon. “I’ve never had it fixed, so yeah, this would be the first time if I did have surgery on it.”
“I expect to be here, yeah,” he said. “It’s my eighth year, I have a big bonus coming in March, which is not guaranteed, but still, I expect to be here. I want to be here. This is where I want to finish my career, and that’s it.”
