This is an awesome story.
Two-time PGA Tour winner Kevin Streelman’s parents unfortunately fell ill before watching their son compete in his third Masters, according to his twitter account.
According to USA Today, instead of giving them to a privileged friend or allowing some already-rich ticket broker to get their hands on them, Streelman had a much more impactful idea for what to do with the tickets. He inquired for a junior-golfer (with parents) to have them, and ended up settling on a 17-year old, who’d claimed he nor his mother had ever been to an event.
Check out the exchange below. This is a really cool example of pro athletes using social media to help their image as well as make a young fan’s day.
