Rick Adelman Out Timberwolves

There has been much discussion about Rick Adelman’s job status for next year. The Timberwolves had another disappointing season that included missing the playoffs again. Now the team is having a press conference today and all indications are that Coach Adelman will retire from coaching:

Rick has a career record of 1890-1042 but hasn’t been in the playoffs in his last 5 seasons as a coach. Adelman’s wife has health issues so don’t be surprised if he cites wanting to spend more time with his family in the press conference. This time though, you should believe him if and when he says that.

The team is expected to look at Fred Hoiberg, Tom Izzo, and Stan Van Gundy.
