Old school Knicks supporters were won over by Josh Hart of the New York Knicks as he mercilessly reminded Reggie Miller of how despised he is in the city. He interrupted Miller during the game broadcast so that the message could be heard on live TV, not even waiting for the game to finish.
Miller’s old team, the Indiana Pacers, were defeated by New York in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series, 130-121. With victories in both games played in front of a boisterous Madison Square Garden, the Knicks take a 2-0 series lead.

Why is Reggie Miller so hated by the Knicks?
Miller is well acquainted with what it’s like to be disliked by the supporters inside that establishment. During the Pacers-Knicks playoff series in 1995, he had one of the most memorable experiences of his playing career. By scoring eight points in nine seconds and directing the famed “choke” sign toward the Knicks, he single-handedly stole Game 1 in New York.
Knicks supporters never let that game and gesture go, even if Indiana lost the series. The audience chanted “F- you Reggie” on Wednesday night at MSG while Miller was the TNT broadcast commentator.
With a sardonic smile, Hart said,
“I think they said ‘F- You.’ I don’t know if you heard it though,”
Miller heard it, and the audience at home heard it, too. Even the players from the recently rejuvenated Knicks generation don’t appear to be willing to let go of the long-standing animosity carried by older supporters.
