The artist’s drawings of the Braves new stadium were unveiled today, and it’s more or less what you would expect. There are the modern-day improvements to add some flair, and the new location looks as though it can amply accommodate any parking issues. They’ve kept the park as outdoors, which I think is a bad idea. In the era of retractable roofs, this certainly would’ve been a sensible improvement. In addition, the new stadium is said to be able to hold 41,500 fans, and has four decks. The fourth deck might be overkill for the eyes, but maybe the Braves organization knows something we don’t.
Other than that, there doesn’t seem to be too much fanfare surrounds the new stadium, but I’m sure there will be some revealed surprises before it opens in 2017.
